story starter
Pua cast his line from the dinghy and it snagged straight away. Uncle tried to help him reel it in but it didn’t budge suddenly the skies turned grey, the sea got choppy and a giant pirate ship bubbled out of the ocean, dwarfing uncles dinghy.
Suddenly to top of the pirate ship a enormous water slug sloth JUMPED out of the green, murky water, Pua shrieked in horror while the water slug sloth was in the air. “What is it,” called Uncle, Uncle turned around in disbelief and gave a loud GASP.
“Abandon ship!” cried Pua and of they lept into the freezing cold water.
It was a long swim to the nearest island, it was approximately 4293 laps ( if you were in a pool). They were nearly there until a mystical creature leaped out of the water to stop them, both of their jaws dropped.
“Hello, my name is Jonathan Philsbottania and you are now my servants.”
Jonathan Philsbottania had horns as well medium sized as Anika Hyland’s drink bottle he had bright blue scales and a orange afro and he wore bright yellow nikes, in a nutshell he looked like a rainbow.
So they all frolicked down to the Philsbottania cave for the rest of well jonathan’s pass, Pua realised that Jonathan was 793 years old. Not much people came to the funeral except the water slug sloth that was unfortunately his pet sloth.
So Uncle & Pua swam up to the island that was their destination before all the slavery.

Today's math reflections
Today's math reflection
Today in maths I visited my maths hub, I learned how to add and subtract integers and I got all of them right!
I understood this task a bit but I might go back to this task to get the proper understanding of this task.
In my blog there is a link to my maths hub if you want to see what I did I did stage 7 adding and subtracting integers.

Number challenge
Number Challenge
Today in room 8 we did a series of math tasks that got progressively harder, I found number 4 a bit difficult and needed help, but in the end I got the answer right( the answer was 13,750). Hopefully in the future I can use this strategy to work difficult problems

improper fractions reflection
Improper fractions
Recently in room 8 I have learned about improper fractions, as you see in this image I have simplified these improper fractions.
7/2 (seven halves) can be simplified into 31/2.
4/3 (four thirds) can be simplified into 11/3.
I found it easy to do this task with a group and finished the questions quick smart.

Waterline reflection
Waterline reflection
At school this week we had an awesome lady called Adriene from Tauranga city council came and taught us about water.
I learned that the world shears an amount of 1% of water!
I also found out that there is 70% of water living inside of us.
There is 97% of water that is to salty for us to drink, 2% is to deep in the earth for us to reach, 70% of water on the earth, 30% is grass and land and 1% for us to shear.
Apparently there is a man called sir Thomas Crapper who invented the flushing toilet.
I really enjoyed having waterline at school and hopefully I will see them next year.
