Waterline reflection

Waterline reflection
At school this week we had an awesome lady called Adriene from Tauranga city council came and taught us about water.
I learned that the world shears an amount of 1% of water!
I also found out that there is 70% of water living inside of us.
There is 97% of water that is to salty for us to drink, 2% is to deep in the earth for us to reach, 70% of water on the earth, 30% is grass and land and 1% for us to shear.
Apparently there is a man called sir Thomas Crapper who invented the flushing toilet.
I really enjoyed having waterline at school and hopefully I will see them next year.

My Writing reflection

Writing
In my writing this week I've learned more about 3rd and 1st person which is very handy because i love doing writing at home and making up stories. The second thing I learn't was descriptive writing is key for e.g. the park is fun you could do the park is the most amazing thing in the universe and I would love to go there again now that sounds a lot more interesting. I love describing an image (my class does it sometimes). This week I've also learned to put my ideas into paragraphs and describe my super-hero.And also categorise my stories and to always do plans so you don't get stuck in you writing. And I hope I learn a lot more this year.

Using Place Value to solve difficult multiplication problems

today I used place value to work out multiplication  problems. 23 x 5 = 115 I broke 23 in to 20 and 3.so I did 20 x 5 = 100 and then I did 3 x 5 = 15 and then I went 100 + 15 = 115. I personally found this task okay I think I should have taken a bit more time and went over them before I marked because I would have got them all right so that would be a good tip for next time I do it.
